Service Description

The Nooga Sling Bag Everybody is sporting sling bags these days. The Nooga by K-Dill is one of my favorites (and I have made many) for its clean lines, adaptability, and square lines – no fiddly curved seams in this stylish bag. You can make this bag out of quilting cottons, canvas, vinyl or a combination of fabrics. Please have your pieces cut out and interfaced when you come to the first class so we can jump right in on the first day. I consider this an intermediate level pattern. Supply List: The Nooga Pattern by K-Dill available at https://kdillhandmade.com/products/nooga-convertible-hip-bag-pdf-pattern-w-video-tutorial. • Exterior material (1/2 yd) [if using directional fabric, you may want a little more] • Lining material (1/2 yd) • Interfacing (SF101 woven interfacing or equivalent) • Strap connector - Triangle ring OR D-ring style (two 1.5” size [optional 1”]) • Zipper, #5 size (11”, 9”, 6.5”) with 3 zipper pulls • Lobster clasp (two 1.5” size [optional 1”]) • Strap slider (1.5” size [optional 1”]) • Webbing strap (1.5” size [optional 1”], 50-62” length) (if you do not want to use webbing, you can make a strap with your chosen fabric – just remember to purchase extra fabric and interfacing for the strap (1/3 to 1/2 depending on the width of the strap and sufficient interfacing) • 8mm rivets (optional) • Matching all-purpose thread and wound bobbin • Appropriate needle for your fabric – a Microtex 90/14 is a good choice for most fabrics • Quilting Ruler • Standard sewing supplies – sharp scissors and rotary cutter, pins and wonder clips, wash-away wonder tape, tape measure, etc. • Sewing machine in good working order (don’t forget to oil and clean your machine before starting a new project!)
