Super Quick and Cute Serger Wedge Skirt

This fun skirt is perfect for the Spring and Summer wear and is a breeze to make! And what is even better, it is easy to fit no matter what size or shape you are. Using one simple “wedge” pattern, you will cut your wedge pieces until you have enough to go around your body – it’s that simple! Then we’ll get the serger set up to use exposed serge stitching to combine the wedges together. Finish it off with a simple Fantastic Elastic waistband and it is ready to wear!

Supply List:

1.5 yds (XS – M) – 2 yds (L – XXXL) soft knit fabric such as rayon/lycra or poly/lycra. Bring a couple fabrics if you’re not sure and we will pick the best one at class (I know you have a stash!) Avoid stripes or one-way designs. Pre-wash the fabric before class.

Fantastic Elastic, enough for your waist (available at class)

Thread your serger for a 3-thread narrow serge stitch. The thread color you choose can match, blend, or contrast depending on the look you like.

Rotary cutter, ruler, basic sewing supplies.
